Minutes of the regular meeting of the Pulaski
Town Council, held on the 22nd day of April, 1961, at b:00 P. M. in
the Municipal office.

The invocation was given by the Rev. John R. Campbell,
pastor of Christ Episcopal Church.
Minutes of the meeting of April 7th were approved.
Mayor Jackson cordially welcomed the Youth Officials from
the Pulaski High School, Miss McCoy and Mrs. Crawford.
Mayor Jackson then declared the meeting to be a public
hearing, as advertised, and stated that Council would be glad to hear
anyone who wished to be heard either for or against the application of
COUNCIL Mrs. Stella Murphy for placing a house trailer on her property on Vallev

STELLA Town Manager Noland advised that the trailer which Mrs. Murphy planned

to purchase is a 1963 model 3 -bedroom trailer, to cost approximately
`$61200.00 and that the topography is such that the placing of this
house trailer would not crowd the lot. Mr. Noland recommended to
Council that the application be approved. On motion of Councilman Aust,

that the recommendation of Town Manager Noland be accepted and the
application of Mrs. Stella Murphy to place a house trailer on Valley
Road be granted.

The Sewer Committee recommended teat the town proceed with the
installation of an extension of the Sanitary Sewer line to serve the

Mr. Carrico stated that the rfrnuest for sanitary sewer services
to Snider Lane was still under ccnsideration and his committee hoped to
make a report to Council at it's next meeting.
As to establishing a sewage connection fee policy, Councilman
Carrico ,advised that the Sewer Committee recommended that Council instruct!

then the charge for a sewer connection shall be double the prevailing rate.
Also to be incorporated in the recommendation above, at the suggestion
of Councilman McCarthy, that the Town Attorney be instructed to look

NEXT MEETING In the absence of Town Attorney Moore, Town Manager Noland
advised that Mr. Moore hoped to take the matter of appointing trustees

Mayor Jackson stated that next week had been designated
as "Clean-up Week"; that recently the Police Department had doubled
their efforts to interest property owners and businesses to clean

WEEK up and keep clean their properties. Mayor Jackson told the youth
group he felt they could help also by keeping their school cleaner,
and it would be a good topic for them to use for their mock council
meeting.
Youth Mayor Jack Chaffin introduced the youth officials and
members of the Youth Council. He also invited Mayor. Jackson and members
YOUTH MAYOR of his Council to attend their mock council meeting to be held on May
