Minutes of a special. meeting of the Pulaski Town Council,
There were present: Mayor C. V. Jackson, presiding.

that due to the urgency of th.e establishment of a Trailer Court
by Mr. George Johnston, and the desire of Council to cooperate
in every way possible, a special meeting had been call ed to hear thel
report of the T'ater Committee.

The invocation wa.s given by Councilman Carrico.
Mayor Jackson advised that ^t the last meeting of Council '
the matter of an amendment to ,°ection 19.6 of the Town Code, having,'
to do with water and sewer connections for frailer Camps, had been
turned over to the Z°later Committee for report to Council, and
Councilman Cummings, Chairman of the Z~later Committee,
reported that he, Mr. Nash, Mr. Nuckols and Mr. Noland (Mr. McCarthy
being out of town) had met at the trailer site to be developed by
Mr. Johnston, and after considering the matter it was the recommenda-
tion of the Committee to install one water meter for the Trailer
POLICY rSTABLISCourt, and each trailer be charged a minimum of X2.00 per month for
T-~D. water services, with readings to be made once a month, and should
the amount of the bill calculated according to the meter reading
be greater than the combined per trailer minim~zms, the greater charge
shall apply. Sewer service to be charged at the rate of forty (Ia0)
percent of the water service, and garbage collection at the usual
residential rate per trailer, with the op erator of the Trailer Court
being responsible for the entire bill and only one bill being renderlled
for services to the entire Court.

It was believed that on this basis it would average
a minimum of X3.;5 per month per trailer. Councilman Nuckols
advised that he felt the fee should be $2_.50 rather than X2.00,
but would go along with the remainder or the members of the
Committee in the recommendation of `2.00.
Councilman Flint moved that the recommendation of the
Water Committee, as set forth above, be accepted, and directed that the
Town Attorney be advised to draw up an amendment to Section 19.6
of the Town Code setting forth the recommendation and bring back
to Council for approval. at its next regular meeting. This
motion was seconded by Councilman Gallimore, and carried unanimously.
After hearing a suggestion from Town Manager Noland,
Councilman Gallimore moved that the Town Attorney be directed to
draw up a Code amendment setting forth such records as must be
kept by Trailer Court owners for registration of occupants of
the Trailer Court. This motion was seconded by Councilman
Cummings, and carried unanimously.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned
at 5:30 P. M.
