Council minutes

Minutes of the regular meeting of the Pulaski Town Council
held on the .lst day of March, 1960, at ~ p. m., in the municipal office.
There were present: Mayor C. V. Jackson, presiding.
Councilmen: W. S. Cummings, J. R. Martin, J. W. Nash,
G1 en K. Aust, W. A. Larson
Absent: W. F. White, F. L. Carrico, T. J. McCarthy
Also present: Town Manager: T. B. Noland
Clerk: Gladys R. Dalton
Town Attorney: Alan Groseclose
Visitors: Bi11 Akers, reporter for Southwest Times
The meeting was opened with prayer by Town Manager Noland,
Minutes of the regular meeting of February 16, 1960, were
approved.
Two communications which were directed to Mayor C. V.
Jackson were read by Town Manager Noland. No action was necessary.
Town Manager Noland reported that in response to his
inauiry with regards to the policy of other cities and towns where

However, the League would be glad to make a survey for the Town.
Council directed the Manager to request the League for a survey
of this matter.

building and hangar at New River Valley Airport and committed them-
selves for the cost of lighting in the 1961-62 fiscal year. He
stated construction of the administration building and hangar should
start within forty-five days.
After a discussion of the new Armory dedication ceremonies, of
motion of W. S. Cummings, seconded by W. A. Larson, and carried
unanimously, it was

Town Manager Noland advised that bids had been advertised
for the sale of eight (8) buildings located in the proposed route of Stalte

land near the General Chemical Company to the Virginia Block Company,

There being no further bu$tness the meeting adjourned
at 5:15 p. m.
