A Resolution Of Appreciation
To
Kenneth W. Farmer, Jr.
For His Service To The Town Of Pulaski
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia desires to publicly
recognize and express its gratitude to individuals who have rendered assistance to the
Town and its citizens; and,
WHEREAS, Kenneth W. Farmer, Jr., is a nationally and internationally recognized
authority on the appraisal and selling of American furniture and folk art, who is also
widely known for his work as a consultant with private collectors, museums, foundations
and other institutions regarding the appraisal, sale and purchase of antiques and fine
art; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Farmer generously and graciously volunteered his time and expertise
to assist the Town by personally conducting an auction, on July 8, 2010, for those items
from the former museum collection that were offered for sale to the public as a result of
the passenger station fire of November 2008;
NOW, THEREFORE be it RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski,
Virginia, sitting in regular session this 3~d day of August 2010, that the Town Council and
citizens of the Town of Pulaski extends their appreciation and sincerest thanks to
Kenneth W. Farmer, Jr. for his recent assistance to the Town and wishes him continuing
success with his many endeavors.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted by the duly recorded
vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia as follows:
