HomeMy WebLinkAbout2015-01Ordinance 2015-01 Ordinance Amending Section 38-141 (a) of the Code of Ordinances Town of Pulaski, Virginia WHEREAS, the Police Department in consultation with the Administration recommended to Town Council that the names of zoning districts used in Section 38- 141 {a) of the Code of Ordinances be amended to match the corresponding district names in the Zoning Regulations to prevent potential problems enforcing provisions regarding inoperative vehicles; and, WHEREAS, the Town Council, at its meeting on January 20, 2015, accepted the Administration and the Police Department's recommendation for amending the Code of Ordinances; NOW, THEREFORE be it ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, sitting in regular session this 3rd day of March 2015 that Section 38-141(a) of the Code of Ordinances Town of Pulaski, Virginia be amended to read as follows: Sec. 38-141. -Prohibitions. (a) At any place within the town that is, or from time to time may become, zoned as residential, business, or rural residential, it shall be unlawful for any person to park or otherwise place or to keep a vehicle (defined as an automobile, truck, trailer, or other equipment of this type), which vehicle is inoperable: (1) Upon any street or alley; (2) Outside of a fully enclosed building, structure or garage. This ordinance is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 3rd day of March 2015 by the duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia as follows: Heather L.
