Mayor Worrell called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
Following roll call, Mayor Worrell advised that this was Councilman Goodman's last week as a Council
member. On behalf of Town Council and himself, he thanked Councilman Goodman for his service to the
Town. He added that it had been an honor and a privilege to serve with him. He invited Councilman Goodman
and his family to the first meeting in July for a reception and formal presentation.
Councilman Goodman thanked the Mayor.
Mayor Worrell advised that this was a called meeting of Council. He added that the purpose of the meeting
was to approve some contracts.
Mr. Utt advised that there were three contracts that needed to be approved prior to the end of the fiscal year so
that this fiscal year's funds could be used.
The first contract was for the burn building grant. He advised that the Town had received $29,500 in grant
funds to repair the building so that it could be operational again. He noted that Council had already approved
receiving the grant funds. He added that the low bid to repair the building was $28,700.
Following discussion, Councilman Clark moved to award the low bid of $28,700 to SRG, Inc. for the burn
building repairs. Councilman Goodman seconded the motion and carried on the following recorded vote:

The next item for discussion was the Crestline Water Tank replacement.
Mr. Utt advised that this project was to replace the current 120,000 gallon water tank on Crestline. He noted
that this tank is full of holes and imperfections. He added that the new tank would be aglass-fused-to-steel
tank.
Councilman Clark moved to approve the low bid of $208,600 to Mid Atlantic Storage Systems to replace the
Crestline water tank. Councilman Goodman seconded the motion and carried on the following recorded vote:

The final item on the agenda was town wide paving.
Mr. Utt advised that the Town had approximately $600,000 available for town wide paving. He added that
there was a lot of equipment that was needed and that the Town did not get reimbursed for. He suggested
applying some of the funds toward work equipment and using the remainder to pave miscellaneous streets
throughout the Town. The low bid for paving was from Norwood Development for $473,550.
Councilman Kidd moved to approve the low bid of $473,550 to Norwood Development for town wide paving.
Councilman Goodman seconded the motion and carried on the following recorded vote:

Next Mayor Worrell advised that the first meeting in July was scheduled for July 1, 2014. Because of the July
4 holiday, he suggested moving the 1St meeting in July to July 8 at 5 p.m.
Councilman Clark moved to hold the first meeting in July on July 8, 2014. Councilman East seconded the
motion and carried on the following recorded vote:

David L. Clark -Aye James A. Radcliffe -Aye
At 5:12 p.m., there being no further business, the meeting adjourned on motion by Councilman Clark,
seconded by Councilman Goodman and carried on voice vote.
