Home My WebLink About2015-13 Ordinance 2015-13 Ordinance Authorizing the Public Transfer, Disposition or Sale of Property Known as Loving Field WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia finds that the transfer, disposition or sale of the Town-owned property commonly known as "Loving Field", consisting of approximately 101 acres and identified as Tax Map No. 054-001-0000-0041, is consistent with the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the Town of Pulaski; and, WHEREAS, the Town Council conducted a duly noticed joint public hearing with the Pulaski County Board of Supervisors on June 2, 2015 wherein the comments of the public concerning the transfer, disposition or sale of the aforementioned property were heard and considered; NOW, THEREFORE be it ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia sitting in regular session this 2nd day of June 2015, that the following actions regarding the transfer, sale or disposition of the "Loving Field" property, as shown in Attachment A, affixed hereto and expressly made part of this ordinance, as if set for herein, are hereby authorized and approved as follows: • Transfer of 1.6 acres to the County of Pulaski. • Transfer of 1.804 acres to Robert P. Whitman, Jr. • Authorize the disposition of the remaining 101.825 acres at public auction to be held on June 5, 2015. FURTHER ORDAINED, the Town Manager is hereby authorized to execute any and all documents on behalf of the Town regarding transactions necessary for the transfer, disposition or sale of the aforementioned properties. This ordinance is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted by the duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia this 2nd day of June 2015 as follows: Heather L.
