HomeMy WebLinkAbout2016-17Ordinance 2016-17 Ordinance Amending the Position and Classification Plan Regarding the Position of Deputy Town Manager WHEREAS, the Position and Classification Plan is the official system of grouping employment positions within the Town into appropriate categories; and, WHEREAS, in reviewing the existing and proposed duties of the Deputy Town Manager, the Town Council has deemed it necessary that the position shall be reclassified under the Grade 15 pay classification due to the additional managerial duties and responsibilities added to or slated to be added to the position since its inception; NOW, THEREFORE, be it ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia sitting in regular session this 18th day of October 2016 that the Position and Classification Plan of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia is hereby amended to include a pay level of Grade 15 with a salary range of $51,974 to $83,403 and a points value of 2,416 as shown in Attachment A -Ordinance 2016-17, affixed hereto and expressly made a part of this ordinance as if set forth herein. FURTHER ORDAINED, that the position of Deputy Town Manager is hereby reassigned from a Grade 14 pay classification to a Grade 15 pay classification as shown in Attachment A -Ordinance 2016-17, affixed hereto and expressly made a part of this ordinance as if set forth herein. This ordinance is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 18th day of October 2016 by the duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia as follows: James A.
