Ordinance Amending Section 411.3 of the B-3 District Regulations to Include
Vehicle Repair as a Special Exception
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia has determined that it is
in the best interest of the public and consistent with the general welfare of the citizens to
amend the B-3 Central Business District regulations to permit vehicle repair facilities as
a special exception in that district; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and Town Council conducted duly noticed public
hearings on April 11, 2016 and May 10, 2016 respectively, wherein the comments and
concerns of the citizens, regarding the proposed zoning amendment were solicited and
considered; and,
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia has considered the best
interests of the community and the citizens and bases the following amendment to the
Zoning Regulations and Zoning Ordinance upon the public necessity, convenience,
general welfare and good zoning practices;
NOW, THEREFORE be it ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski,
Virginia, sitting in regular session this 24th day of May 2016, that Section 411.3, of the
B-3 Central Business District regulations, is hereby amended to include the following
provision as set forth below:
"411.3-10. Automobile, truck or other vehicle repair, but not storage of junk or
an automobile graveyard."
The ordinance is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 24th day of May
2016 by the duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia as
follows:
