Ordinance Approving a Special Exception for a
Solar Farm at 1945 Warden Springs Road
WHEREAS Peak Creek Solar, L.L.C. and Pulaski Community Solar, L.L.0 applied for a
special exception under Section 401.3-5 of the Zoning Regulations of the Town of Pulaski,
Virginia, to establish a solar farm at 1945 Warden Springs Road; and,
WHEREAS the subject property, owned by Mrs. Susan Bain, is zoned RR Rural Residential
District and is identified as Tax Map No. 073-001-0000-0033; and,
WHEREAS, after advertisement required by law, the Planning Commission and Town
Council conducted public hearings on July 9, 2018 and August 7, 2018, respectively,
wherein: the comments and concerns of the public were heard, the factors listed in Section
702.4-5 of the Zoning Regulations of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, were considered by the
Planning Commission and by Town Council, and the recommendation of the Planning
Commission was reviewed and considered by Town Council, and,
WHEREAS the Town Council did consider and found as fact that the proposed special
exception is compatible with the surrounding uses, is consistent with the intent of the Zoning
Regulations and the Comprehensive Plan, is in the public interest, and will comply with
other provisions of the laws and ordinances of the Town of Pulaski;
NOW, THEREFORE be it ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia
sitting in regular session this 21st day of August 2018, that the application of Peak Creek
Solar, L.L.C. and Pulaski Community Solar, L.L.0 for a special exception to establish a
solar farm at 1945 Warden Springs Road, is hereby approved with no additional conditions
applied to this use.
This ordinance is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 21 st day of August
2018 by the duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia as
follows:
