Resolution Authorizing a Grant Application to the Industrial Revitalization Fund
WHEREAS, the Town Council has decided it is in the best interest of promoting the
redevelopment and revitalization of the Downtown, for the Town of Pulaski to apply to the
Industrial Revitalization Fund for a grant of $550,000 for the redevelopment of 67-69 West Main
Street; and,
WHEREAS, $518,200 from the developer combined with $31,800 from the CDBG Downtown
Revitalization Project will also be expended on this project for construction and improvements to
permit adaptive reuse of the structure for a regional tap house and gathering place; and,
WHEREAS, it is projected that 20 jobs and complete restoration of a strategically located
structure on West Main Street will result from the implementation of this project;
NOW, THEREFORE be it RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia,
sitting in regular session this 19th day of February 2019, that the Town Council hereby
authorizes that an application be submitted by the Town of Pulaski to the Industrial
Revitalization Fund for a grant of $550,000 to be applied to the restoration and adaptive reuse
of 67-69 West Main Street.
FURTHER RESOLVED that Shawn M. Utt, Town Manager is hereby authorized to sign and
submit appropriate documentation necessary for filing the Industrial Revitalization Fund
application.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 19th day of February 2019
by the duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia as follows:
