Resolution by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia Authorizing an
Application to the Economic Development Administration
WHEREAS, the Town of Pulaski desires to submit an application for the allocation of funds
through the Economic Development Administration (EDA), and,
WHEREAS, $1,000,000 in grant funds are requested from EDA to support in part the design
and construction of sewer system improvements to the wastewater collection system that
serves the Pulaski Business Park, where James Hardie Building Products operates
a production faality through the construction of a dedicated pump station, a more direct and
shorter connection of 100 linear feet of force main and about 750 linear feet of grawty sewer
collection lines to an existing force main, and 1 million gallon process wastewater storage tank
on site, and,
WHEREAS, additional funding will be provided through other grant resources and Town
allocations making this grant a critical component of the pro�ed funding package,
NOW, THEREPORE be it RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia,
sitting in regular session this 6'"day of November 2019 that the Council dces hereby authorize
that an application be submitted to the Economic Development Administration for a $1,000,000
grant for the design and construction of sewer system improvements to the wastewater system
thal serves the James Hardie production facdity;
FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Manager is authorized to execute all appropriate and
necessary documentation required by the EDA for the apphcation, acceptance and execution of
this grent.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 6th day of November 2019
by the duly recorded vole of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Vuginia as follows.
