HomeMy WebLinkAbout2019-11Ordinance 2019-11 Ordinance Vacating an Unimproved Right -of -Way Adjacent to 592 Prospect Avenue WHEREAS, Andrea Greene has requested vacation of an approximately 4,220 square foot portion of an unimproved right-of-way immediately adjacent to her property at 592 Prospect Avenue; and, WHEREAS, the Town Council conducted a public hearing on November 6, 2019 on said request after advertisement in accordance with law; and, WHEREAS, the Town Council finds that it is in the best interest of the Town and its citizens to close and vacate said unimproved right of way as shown in Attachment A - Ordinance 2019-11, herein affixed to and expressly made a part of this ordinance; NOW, THEREFORE be it ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia sitting in regular session this 19th day of November 2019, that the undeveloped alley right of way located at 592 Prospect Avenue, being 4,220 sq. ft. in area, as shown in Attachment A -Ordinance 2019-11, is hereby abandoned, closed and vacated, with title thereto if any be invested in the Town, reverting without warranty to adjacent property owners as provided by statute; reserving, however any and all utility easements which may exist in favor of the Town of Pulaski, its successors and assigns. This Ordinance is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted by the duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, on this 19th day of November 2019 as follows: Lane R.
