Resolution Adopting a Code of Conduct
for a Rural Development Program
WHEREAS, the Town of Pulaski, Virginia has agreed to participate in a USDA/Rural
Development program to secure three vehicles for use by the Police Department; and,
WHEREAS, participation in the Rural Development program requires the Town of
Pulaski to make assurances to the Federal government that there shall be no activities
that would constitute a conflict of interest by any employee, officer or agent of the Town;
NOW, THEREFORE be it RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski,
Virginia sitting in regular session this 7th day of January 2020, that the Town Council
does hereby adopt and approve the attached Code of Conduct, labeled Attachment A -
Resolution 2020-01, affixed hereto and expressly made part of this resolution.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 7th day of January
2020 by the duly recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia as
follows:

CODE OF CONDUCT
No employee, officer or agent of the owner shall participate in the selection,
award, or administration of a contract supported by Rural Housing Service funds
if a conflict of interest, real or apparent, would be involved.
The above Code of Conduct was approved at a meeting held on January 7,
2020, and six members of the Governing Body were present which represents
a quorum. A vote was held on this resolution and the resolution was adopted
by a vote of six yeas and zero nays with zero abstaining.
