HomeMy WebLinkAbout2022-17Ordinance 2022-17 Adding the definition "House of Worship" to Section 11.2 WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia has considered the best interest of its citizens and determined after a review of the Planning Commission's recommendation and the requisite of a public hearing, that it is in the best interest of the community and consistent with the public necessity, convenience, general welfare and good zoning practices, to amend Section 11.2 to include "Houses of Worship" as defined as "an institution that people regularly attend to participate in or hold religious services, and shall include buildings in which the religious services of any denomination are held. As an accessory use, emergency warming stations are permitted, as defined by the building code and subject to meeting applicable building code and fire code requirements" in the definitions listed in the Town's zoning ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE it be ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia sitting in regular session this 1St day of November 2022 amends Section 11.2 to include "House of Worship" and its definition. The ordinance shall be effective immediately upon adoption on this 1St day of November 2022 by the duly recorded voice vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia as follows: Lane R.
