Resolution Honoring Chief of Police Jill D.Neice Upon Her Retirement
from the Pulaski Police Department
WHEREAS,the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia desires to recognize and commend those staff
members who, upon their retirement, have rendered a career of service to the citizens of the Town of Pulaski; and,
WHEREAS, Chief Jill D.Neice was hired as a Police Officer at the Pulaski Police Department on August 17,
1998;and,
WHEREAS, Chief Neice, during her service,has obtained awards and recognition to include the Distinguished
Service Award for 2 years,Officer of the Year,and countless commendations; and,
WHEREAS,Chief Neice represents the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Commissioner for the Virginia Law
Enforcement Professional Standards Commission; and,
WHEREAS, Chief Neice has served in successive ranks to include Police Officer, Detective, Sergeant,and
Lieutenant, and has proudly led the Town of Pulaski Police Department as its first female Chief of Police; and,
WHEREAS, Chief Neice is congratulated on her twenty-five years of reputable service with the Town of Pulaski
Police Department, and on her many accomplishments and now her well-earned retirement.
NOW,THEREFORE be it RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski,Virginia sitting in regular
session this 19th day of December 2023,that the Town Council extends its sincerest thanks and commendation to
Chief Neice for her dedicated service to the citizens of the Town of Pulaski as a member of the Town of Pulaski
Police Department.
NOW,THEREFORE be it FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Council and Town Employees extend to
Chief Neice their best wishes for an enjoyable and rewarding retirement.
