RESOLUTION # 99-31
HONORING
COMMANDER ERNEST L. "ERNIE" TAYLOR
WHEREAS, Commander Ernest L. Taylor is retiring from the Town of Pulaski Police
Department, and;
WHEREAS, Commander Taylor has 25 years of continuous service as a Police Officer
with 11 of those yeazs having served on the Pulaski Police Department, and;
WHEREAS, Commander Taylor began his service with the Pulaski Police Department
in April, 1988, was then promoted to Police Officer First Class in February, 1989, was
promoted to Sergeant in November, 1989 and later promoted to Commander in April,
1994, and;
WHEREAS, Commander Taylor received numerous awazds as a Police Officer with the
Pulaski Police Department, some of those being the Legion of Honor Medal, the
Honorable Discharge Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the Continuous Service
Award for 25 years of continuous service.

• NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Town Council of the Town of"Pulaski,
Virginia, sitting in regular session on July 20, 1999, that Town Council and the Pulaski
Police Department do hereby express their congratulations and sincere appreciation to
Commander Taylor for his dedicated and loyal service to the Town of Pulaski and to the
Pulaski Police Depaztment.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is ado~ted by recorded vote of the Town
Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, on this 20 day of July, 1999 as follows:
