RESOLUTION 99-33
A Resolution For Application to the Virginia Department
of Housing and Community Development for the
1999 Derelict Structures Fund
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town of Pulaski wishes to apply for the 1999 Derelict
Structures Fund Grant from the Virginia Department of Housing and Community
Development for the demolition of derelict residential and commercial buildings; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Pulaski Building Department will be responsible for the
application and administration of the 1999 Derelict Structures Fund money; and
WHEREAS, the demolition and removal of these structures will provide sites for the
building of affordable housing for the citizens of the Town of Pulaski and make these
areas of the Town safer and cleaner for the citizens of our Town; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Pulaski will match the amount awarded by the 1999 Derelict
Structures Fund with town funds; and
• FURTHERMORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Thomas M. Combiths, Town Manager, is
hereby authorized to sign and submit the appropriate documents for submittal of this
1999 Derelict Structures Fund Grant.
This resolution is effective upon its adoption, and is adopted the 17~' day of August, 1999
by recorded vote of the Town Council as follows:
