AUTHORIZATION TO TOWN ATTORNEY
?O PREPARE OPT10N AGREEMENT FOR
LOVIl~IG FIELD PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the Pulaski County School Board bas requested an option to purchase as estimated
50 acres of the Town's Loving Field properties for the purpose of constructing elementary and
middle schools; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Town Council of th,e Town of Pulaski, vrginia
sitting in regular session on November 2,1999, that the Tows approves the granting of any
option on estimated 54 acres to the Ailaski County School Board for the following express
Pas=
1. For use as an elementary andlor middle school only; and
• 2. The general public and the Town Recreation Department shall. have access
to the gS-mnasiums and other recreational facilities after school hours; and
3. Thee purchase price shalt be $4,000/acre; and
4. The option period shall be one year unless extended in writing; and
S. The Town of Pulasla shall be allowed to participate in the planning process for
said schedule; and
6. The Town Attonzcy shall prepare as option thaz will be non-transferrable
and which would restrict use of the site for schools only and that otherwise
the property would revert to the Town of Pulaski; and,
7. The said property will be optioned "as is" and the Pulaski County School Board
would be responsible for the extension of any necessary utilities; however, the
Town shall have access to all utilities to serve the *emainder of the Town's

This resolution is effective upon adoption and adopted by duly recorded vote of the Town
Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia on this 2'~ day of November, 1999 as follows;
