TEA-21 Project Endorsement Resolution
For the Expansion of the Raymond F. Ratcliffe Memorial Museum (Phase II)
For Transportation Enhancement Related Purposes In The Town of Pulaski
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Commonwealth Transportation Boazd construction
allocation procedures, it is necessary that a request by resolution be received from the
local government in order that the Virginia Department of Transportation continue to
program an enhancement project (Phase II) in the Town of Pulaski.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of
Pulaski, Virginia, sitting in regulaz session on January 18, 2000, requests the
Commonwealth Transportation Boazd to continue the project for the
improvement/expansion of the Raymond F. Ratcliffe Memorial Museum/Welcome
Center in the Town of Pulaski.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town of Pulaski hereby agrees to pay 20
percent of the total cost for demolition, site prepazation and installing site utilities. The
Town's 20% share will come from $100,000 Commonwealth of Virginia Special
Appropriations for this same project.
If the Town of Pulaski subsequently decides to cancel the project, the Town of Pulaski
hereby agrees to reimburse the Virginia Department of Transportation for the total
amount of the costs expended by the Department through the date the Department is
notified of such cancellation.
This Resolution is effective as of January 18, 2000 and is adopted this 18~' day of
January, 2000.
