RESOLUTION NO.2000-08
HONORING
LIFETIME SERVICE AWARD RECIPIENTS
WHEREAS, Mayor Johnston along with the Members of Town Council of the Town of
Pulaski wish to take this opportunity to recognize those life-time volunteers, lifetime
youth service volunteers and lifetime part-time employees of the Town who give so
freely of their time and talents to benefit the youth of the Town of Pulaski, Pulaski
County and beyond; and,
WHEREAS, Ned Bane, Al Carden, Ty Hancock, Roger Hurd, Wally Jones, Carl
Lindstrom, Jack Livesay, and Randy Overson were presented distinguished awards at a
banquet held in their honor and given by the Town of Pulaski's Parks and Recreation
Department on December 6~', 1999; and,
WHEREAS, These volunteers have served the Town of Pulaski and Pulaski County for
a combined total of 231 years of service and 1358 programs.
NOW THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski,
• Virginia, sitting in regular session on February 15, 2000, that Town Council should and
hereby does express its appreciation to these lifetime service award recipients and
commends them for their outstanding dedication and long hours of hard work which has
and will continue to enrich the lives of the youth ofthe Town of~uiaski and Pulaski
County.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is adopted by duly recorded vote of the
Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia on this 15~' day of February, 2000, as
follows:
