Regarding Town Web Site Improvements
WHEREAS, the Town of Pulaski web site has been an attractive Town informational
feature for a few years now; and,
WHEREAS, technological advances would enable the Town to increase the capabilities
of the web site to 1) to present the web site content in auser-friendly and logical manner;
2) in a design that is visually pleasing and technologically advanced; and 3) to produce
repeat visitors that will facilitate quality of life and economic development; and,
WHEREAS, current technology would enable streaming video, new navigation, updates
by our personnel, update photograph entry, "e-bulletin" and "e-street" features allowing
promotion of local commerce, and customer friendly features such as Pulaski post-card
mailing and a-mail.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that funds of $7,900 from year end General
Fund balance be approved to complete a Phase II and III of preparation and
implementation of proposed improvements by TechWeb partners from the New River
• Community College.
This Resolution is effective upon adoption and is adopted by recorded vote of the Town
Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, this 26`" day of June, 2001.
