RESOLUTION 2001-22
REGARDING TOWN OF PULASKI SPONSORSHIP
PROPOSED COUNT PULASKI NEW RIVER TRAIL SK, lOK RUN
WHEREAS, Mayor Stewart has developed interest by Virginia Amateur Athletics and
the Virginia Striders to conduct a SK to l OK run in the Town of Pulaski sometime in
October of 2002; and,
WHEREAS, Mayor Stewart has secured volunteer leadership of Joel Hicks, Jack Gill
and Richard "Doc" Weese to coordinate preparation for the event; and,
WHEREAS, Mayor Stewart proposed that Town Council sponsor and endorse this event
together with providing funds of approximately $2,000 for costs.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED, that the Town Council expresses its support
and authorizes funding of this project.
This Resolution is effective upon adoption and is adopted by recorded vote of the Town
Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia vn this 4~' day of September, 2001 as follows:
