RESOLUTION 2002- 22
HONORING EDSEL "EDDIE" SUTPHIN
WHEREAS, Edsel "Eddie" Sutphin has served the Town of Pulaski as Sports
Coordinator for 17 years;
WHEREAS, Eddie Sutphin has provided the citizens of the Town of Pulaski with a
quality recreational sports program through hard work, dedication, and long hours;
WHEREAS, Edsel "Eddie" Sutphin has supervised, coordinated, and directed over 2000
youth and adults in sports progams in his career;
WHEREAS, Many of the sports programs today, such as soccer, track, girls' softball,
and the Town's affiliation with Dixie Youth Baseball were started under Eddie's tenure;
NOW THEREFORE, The Town Council of the Town of Pulaski hereby commends
Edsel "Eddie" Sutphin for his service to the Town's citizens and for his many
contributions, which improved the quality of life for all Town citizens.

Virginia, on this 2 day of July 2002 as follows:
