RESOLUTION 2003-03
A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE PCHS THEATER ARTS DEPARTMENT' S
STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
WHEREAS, the members of the Pulaski County High School Theater Arts Department have
worked diligently to attain a level of excellence in their study of the performing arts;
WHEREAS, members of the department, showing initiative and creativity, wrote their own
drama entitled "Lady of the Lake and Other British Tales'' which proceeded to win first place in
district and second place in regional competition;
WHEREAS, in a fitting tribute to the dedication and ability of the students, "Lady of the Lake
and Other British Tales" won the state championship in drama, bringing to Pulaski County High
School its second state championship in the school's history;
NOW THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED, that the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski
Virginia sitting in regular session this 4a' day of February 2003, extends to the Pulaski County
High School Theater Arts Department, its heartfelt congratulations and appreciation to each and
every member for a job truly well done.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is adopted this 4~ day of February 2003 by
recorded vote as follows:
