HomeMy WebLinkAbout2003-08 RESOLUTION 2003-08 MODIFICATION OF TOWN ATTORNEY CONTRACT WHEREAS, the contract of the Town Attorney has been in place without modification since 1999; and WHEREAS, it is deemed by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, sitting in regulaz session that a contractural modification is in the best interest of the community and consistent with the general welfaze of the public; and NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia hereby adopts the contract modification attached hereto and expressly made a part hereof as if expressly set forth herein. Stewart, Jr., Mayor ATTESTED: c_ Patricia Cruise, Clerk • '~`-~ CONTRACT MODIFICATION Provision 2 of Retainer Agreement of Pulaski Town Attorney shall be amended as follows: The Town shall continue to pay the Attorney a retainer in the amount of two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) per month. Said retainer shall cover all regulazly scheduled Council meetings and all conferences with the Town Manager whether said conferences and communication be by appointment, telephone, a-mail, or fax. All other legal services shall be billed as follows: a. Attorney -Eighty-five dollazs ($85.00) per hour for non-litigation; and litigation other than tax collections and enforcement of Delapidated Structure cases shall be at the rate of one hundred twenty five dollazs ($125.00) per hour. b. Legal Assistant and Pazalegal -Forty dollazs ($40.00) per hour. All other provisions of said contract shall remain in full force and effect. c.
