HomeMy WebLinkAbout2003-12'r RESOLUTION 2003-12 F TEA-21 Project Endorsement Resolution For the Expansion of the Raymond F. Ratcliffe Memorial Museum and Fine Arts Center - Heritage and Cultural Museum Complex WHEREAS, in accordance with the Commonwealth Transportation Board construction allocation procedures, it is necessary that a request by resolution be received from the local government in order that the Virginia Department of Transportation continue to program an enhancement project in the Town of Pulaski. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, sitting in special session on June 17, 2003, requests the Commonwealth Transportation Board to continue the project for the improvement/expansion of the Raymond F. Ratcliffe Memorial Museum and Fine Arts Center heritage and cultural museum complex in the Town of Pulaski. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town of Pulaski hereby agrees to pay 20% of the total cost for the phased construction. The Town's 20% share will come from the $100,000 Commonwealth of Virginia Special Appropriations for this project. If the Town of Pulaski, Virginia subsequently decides to cancel the project, the Town of Pulaski agrees to reimburse the Virginia Department of Transportation for the total amount of the costs ' expended by the Department through the date the Department is notified of such cancellation. r• This resolution is effective upon adoption and is adopted this 17"' day of June 2003 by recorded vote as follows: Jeffrey S.
