A RESOLUTION HONORING ELBERT G. BLACK, JR.
WHEREAS, Elbert G. Black, Jr. has served faithfully and honorably on the Town
Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia from July 1, 1992 to June 30, 1996 and from
July 1, 2000 to June 30, 2004; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Black during his eight years on Town Council has served as a member
of the Finance, Human Resources, Utilities, Safety committees and on the Ordinance
Committee both as a member and Chairman; and
WHEREAS, during his service, Mr. Black also assisted the Town with special events
giving freely of his extraordinary talent and skill as a chef to create a wide variety of
memorable dishes and desserts to the enjoyment of many; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Black, as a member of Council, showed fairness, thoughtfulness,
kindness and respect to citizens and employees of the Town in dealing with the many
{ issues he considered during his tenure on Council.
' ~ NOW, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski,
Virginia sitting in regular session this 6th day of July 2004, that the Town Council should
and does hereby recognize the significant and lasting contributions of Mr. Black to the
citizens of the Town of Pulaski and commends him for his dedication and years of
service to the community.
This resolution is adopted by recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski,
Virginia on this 6th day of July 2004 as follows;
