RESOLUTION 2004-19
A RESOLUTION HONORING PAULINE G. MITCHELL
WHEREAS, Pauline G. Mitchell has served faithfully and honorably on the Town
Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia from July 1, 1980 to June 30, 1984 and from
July 1, 1996 to June 30, 2004; and,
WHEREAS, Mrs. Mitchell has served the Town in various capacities as a member of
the Finance, Safety, Utilities, and Public Operations committees, as well as a member
and Chairman of the Ordinance Committee; and,
WHEREAS, in addition to her responsibilities as a member of Council, Mrs. Mitchell
served both the Town and County as a member of the Ciean Community Council; and,
WHEREAS, Mrs. Mitchell has also faithfully served as the Town's representative to the
Agency on Aging, working tirelessly to enhance the quality of life for the senior citizens
of the Town of Pulaski; and,
WHEREAS, during her time as a council member, Mrs. Mitchell worked diligently for the
benefit of the community and its citizens from her deep affection for and roots in the
~`~ Town of Pulaski.
NOW, THEREFORE be it RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski,
Virginia sitting in regular session this 6th day of July 2004, that the Town Council should
and does recognize the commitment and effort by Mrs. Mitchell on behalf of the citizens
of the Town of Pulaski and commends her for her contributions to the life of the Town
and her twelve years of service on Town Council.
This resolution is adopted by recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski,
Virginia this 6th day of July 2004 as follows:
