RESOLUTION 2005-10
ACCEPTANCE OF LOW RESPONSIBLE BID AS NEGOTIATED PURSUANT TO
RESOLUTION 2005-07
WHEREAS, the Town of Pulaski has by Resolution 2005-07 approved an invitation to bid which
has been advertised and bids thereon received and said bids have been presented to Council for
consideration, determination and action; and
WHEREAS, The Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia has determined that an
acceptance of a low responsible bid as negotiated pursuant to Resolution 2005-07 is in the best
interest of and consistent with the health, safety and general welfare of its citizens; and
NOW, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia
that the low responsible bidder, H.T. Bowling, Inc., submitted a bid in the amount of $6.6 million
for the project at the Pulaski Business Park as outlined in the Invitation to Bid which said bid
exceeded the amount of available funds held by the Town of Pulaski, therefore allowing the
Town of Pulaski to negotiate with the low responsible bidder resulting in a negotiated contract
price within the available funds of the Town of Pulaski in the amount of $ 5,942,450.00 is hereby
accepted.
• And be it further RESOLVED that a contract is hereby authorized to be executed by the Town
Manager of the Town of Pulaski at the negotiated price of $ 5,942,450.00 with allowances as
reflected on Attachment "A" attached hereto and expressly made a part hereof.
This Resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 23rd day of February, 2005,
by recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia as follows:
