HomeMy WebLinkAbout2005-28• RESOLUTION 2005-28 RESOLUTION SETTING THE AMOUNT OF FEES PAID TO ACTIVE VOLUNTEER MEMBERS OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, Section 42-41 (a) of the Code of Ordinances of the Town of Pulaski Virginia requires that active volunteer members of the Fire Department shall receive a fee for their services as approved by Town Council, and WHEREAS, Section 42-41 (b) of the Code of Ordinances of the Town of Pulaski Virginia further requires that the amount of fees paid to active volunteer members of the Fire Department may be changed by resolution of the Town Council, and WHEREAS, the Town Council has deemed it in the public interest and consistent with the health, safety and welfare of its citizens to increase the fees currently paid to active volunteer members of the Fire Department for answering a call to a fire, NOW THEREFORE be it RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia sitting in regular session this 5`h day of July 2005 does hereby approve the following: A. That the fee paid to active volunteer members of the Fire Department for answering a call be increased from ten (10) dollars per call to fifteen (15) dollars per call. B. That the fee paid to active volunteer members of the Fire Department for training remain at $8.00 per hour and the fee for attending a business meeting remain at $5.00 per business meeting attended until amended by a duly adopted resolution of the Town Council. This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 5"' day of July 2005 by recorded vote of the Town Council as follows: Jeffrey S. Worrell -Aye Daniel Talbert, Jr. -Aye Bettye H.
