RESOLUTION 2005-41
AMENDMENT OF TRAVEL POLICY DATED APRIL 1,1997
•
WHEREAS the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski has determined it to be in
the best interest of the public and consistent with the efficient and prudent operation of
the Town Government as well as the health, safety and general welfare of the Town; and
WHEREAS the cost of gasoline has risen sharply due to unexpected weather
catastrophes and other economic occurrences; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of
Pulaski, Virginia that the Travel Policy adopted by Town Council on April 1, 1997 be
and hereby is amended as follows:
That the mileage rate be set at the State of Virginia allowable reimbursement rate
effective upon the effective date of the State of Virginia mileage reimbursement
rate. The current State of Virginia mileage reimbursement rate is $0.325/mile if
no state/government vehicle is available. If they choose to use their own vehicle
instead of the state/government vehicle, then it is reduced to $0.19/mile, which
shall be the Town of Pulaski mileage reimbursement rate until the rate is changed
by the State of Virginia at which time the Town mileage reimbursement rate shall
also change, until this resolution is modified by Town Council.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted this 1St day of
November 2005, by recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, as
follows:
