RESOLUTION 2006-07
RECOGNIZING APRIL BITTER, CHIEF DISPATCHER
AND
THE MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNICATION CENTER
WHEREAS, The Town of Pulaski Police Communications Center is subject to both
scheduled and unscheduled audits of the Communications Center; and,
WHEREAS, The Dispatchers, under the supervision of the Chief Dispatcher, April
Ritter, are responsible for the entry of a substantial amount of information into both state
and federal data banks; and
WHEREAS, This information is often quite serious in nature and if missed, could result
in missing a convicted felon or an armed threat to a police officer; and
WHEREAS, On January 23, 2006, a team of veteran Virginia Sate Police Investigators
audited the department; and,
WHEREAS, The subsequent result was that the Communications Center achieved a
t perfect score.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Council of the Town of
Pulaski herby commends Chief Dispatcher April Ritter and all the Members of the
Communications Center for a job well done.
This Resolution is effective upon adoption and is adopted this 7th day of March, 2006 by
duly recorded vote of the Town Council as follows:
