Authorizing Grant Application to the Appalachian Regional Commission
For Virginia's Nano Park

WHEREAS, in accordance with guidelines from the Appalachian Regional Commission, it is
necessary that a request by resolution be received from local government authorizing the
submission of planning grant funds;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia,
sitting in session on September 5, 2006 that the Town authorizes its Town Manager to submit a
grant on its behalf to ARC for the purpose of establishing a nano technology park.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town of Pulaski authorizes $15,000 in UDAG funds to
be used as a match for the ARC grant.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is adopted this 5th day of September 2006 by
recorded vote as follows:
