RESOLUTION 2007-04
A RESOLUTION HONORING THOMAS (TOMMI~ WOJCIK
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia desires to recognize and
commend residents of the Town who have distinguished themselves in some field of endeavor
by achieving recognition for themselves and the Town; and
WHEREAS, on March 24, 2007, Tommy Wojcik competed at the Mid-Atlantic Wrestling
Association's District Wrestling Tournament in Fauquier County, Virginia and took first place at
this tournament, qualifying him for the Regional Tournament this past weekend in Salisbury,
Maryland; and
WHEREAS, at the Regional Tournament, Tommy took first place, qualifying him for the Mid-
Atlantic Wrestling Association's National Tournament to be held on April 28 and 29, 2007; and
WHEREAS, Tommy is in a select group of 1,400 athletes who remain eligible from over 12,000
who began competition over three weeks ago at 29 different district sites; and
WHEREAS, Tommy is a resident of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia and an eighth grader at
Pulaski Middle School and has brought to his community, his school, and his family recognition
for his achievements as a wrestler,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia,
sitting in regular session this 3`~ day of April 2007, that the Town Council extends their sincerest
congratulations to Thomas (Tommy) Wojcik on his achievements as a wrestler and extends to
him their best wishes for continued success in all his many endeavors.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is hereby adopted by the duly recorded vote of
the Town Council as follows:
