RESOLUTION
HONORING THE PULASKI BRAVES
1991 APPALACHIAN LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP
WHEREAS, the Town of Pulaski and Calfee Park is home to an Atlanta Braves
Appalachian League (Rookie) team; and
WHEREAS, the Pulaski Braves drew over 26,000 fans, a 50 percent increase
over last season; and
WHEREAS, Manager Randy Ingle and the Braves completed the regular season
with the league's best record, 47-23; and
WHEREAS, the Pulaski Braves defeated the Burlington Indians in the
Appalachian League Championship to win their second pennant in five
years.
~1OW, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of
Pulaski, Virginia, sitting in regular session on October 1, 1991, that
the Town Council should and hereby honors the Pulaski Braves 1991
Appalachian League Championship.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is adopted by recorded
vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, on this First
day of October, 1991 as follows:
