HomeMy WebLinkAbout92-02a RESOLUTION - 92-2 HONORING JIM NEIGHBORS WHEREAS, Mr. James R. Neighbors, a member of Pulaski Town Council and Vice-Mayor since 1984, resigned his office on September 3, 1991; and WHEREAS, During his tenure, Mr. Neighbors served as Chairman of the Recreation Committee, Finance Committee, Public Operations, and Personnel Committees; and WHEREAS, As Vice-Mayor and member of 'Council, Mr. Neighbors provided leadership and wisdom and served all citizens of the Town with fairness, honesty, dignity, and respect; and, WHEREAS, Among his fellow members of Council, Mr. Neighbors was famous for his abundant cologne, cans of thick skin spray, unique sense of humor and goodwill. NOW, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, sitting in regular session on January 21, 1992, that the Town Council should and hereby recognizes the contributions of Mr. Neighbors to the citizens of the Town of Pulaski and commends him for his dedication, service and "neighborliness." This resolution is effective upon adoption and is adopted by recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, on this 21st day of January, 1992 as follows: Charles D.
