RESOLUTION - 92-16
HONORING MARY LOU COPENHAVER
WHEREAS, Mrs. Mary Lou Copenhaver has been a member of Pulaski Town
Council since 1984; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Copenhaver served as Chairperson of the Personnel Committee
since 1990, Ordinance Committee from 1984 to 1990 and Streets Committee
from 1984 to 1985; and
WHEREAS, She also served as a member of the following committees:
Finance, Recreation, Public Safety, Pollution and Sanitation, Land-
Building-Parks, Cemetery and Public Operations; and
WHEREAS, During her service, Mrs. Copenhaver has dealt capably with
numerous complex issues and projects affecting past, present and future
Town residents, including but not limited to the revision of the Town
Charter and Code, Pulaski Main Street, UDAG projects, annexation, Town
Centennial Celebration and the downtown street and sidewalk improvements;
and
~EREAS, As a member of Council, Mrs. Copenhaver served all citizens of
the Town with fairness, honesty, kindness and respect.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of
Pulaski, Virginia, sitting in regular session on July 7, 1992, that the
Town Council should and hereby recognizes the significant and lasting
contributions of Mrs. Copenhaver to the citizens of the Town of Pulaski
and commends her for her dedication and years of service.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is adopted by recorded
vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, on this 7th
day of July, 1992 as follows:
