AMENDING THE CONTRACT WITH PULASRI BASEBALL CLUB, INC.
TO PROVIDE FOR THE SIIBSTITIITION OF IN-RIND SERVICES
FOR CASH PAYMENTS OTHERWISE REQUIRED BY SAID CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the Town Council, on May 2, 1990, authorized the Town
Manager to execute a proposed contract with Pulaski Baseball Club,
Inc. for the 1990, 1991, and 1992 baseball seasons; and,
WHEREAS, under the terms of that contract, Pulaski Baseball Club,
Inc. must pay a minimum fee of three thousand dollars ($3,000) to
the Town in 1992 for the usage of Calfee Park; and,
WHEREAS, Pulaski Baseball Club, Inc. has proposed to the Town that,
in lieu of the $3,000 cash payment, the Club would provide
"in-kind" services, including goods, materials, and labor, for the
maintenance, repair, or improvement of the Calfee Park facility;
and,
WHEREAS, Pulaski Baseball Club, Inc. would provide the in-kind
services at the rate of $3.00 of in-kind services for each $1.00 of
cash payment required by the existing contract; and,
WHEREAS, the Town Manager has recommended to the Finance Committee,
and the Finance Committee has recommended to the entire Council,
• that the existing contract with Pulaski Baseball Club, Inc. be
amended to incorporate said proposal of in-kind services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of
Pulaski, Virginia, sitting in regular session on August 18, 1992,
that:
Section 1. The Town Manager be, and hereby is, authorized to
execute an addendum to the contract between the Town of Pulaski,
Virginia and Pulaski Baseball Club, Inc., dated May 8, 1990, to
provide for the substitution of in-kind services for cash payments
otherwise required by said contract.
Section 2. Said addendum shall be in substantially the same form
as provided in Attachment A.
Section 3. This resolution is effective upon adoption and is
hereby adopted this 18th day of August, 1992, by recorded vote of
the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, as follows:
