RESOLUTION N0. 93-8
HONORING RAMON D, TORRES, III
WHEREAS, Ramon D. Torres III, Gatewood Park Manager since 1989,
will be entering Duke Divinity School in the fall and will assume a
full-time position with the United Methodist Church; and
WHEREAS, during Mr. Torres' four years as Park Manager, park
participation increased, revenue rose by 30 percent, and new programs
were started such as fishing tournaments and nature programs.
WHEREAS, Mr. Torres also oversaw such park improvements as a new
electrical system, new sewage pump station, boat-to campsites and a
handicapped access pier.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of
Pulaski, Virginia, sitting in regular session on June 15, 1993, that the
Town Council should and hereby does commend Ramon Torres for his
contributions and dedication during his term as Gatewood Park Manager
and wishes him all the best in his career in the ministry.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is adopted by
recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, on
this 15th day of June, 1993, as follows:
