RESOLUTION N0. 93-12
RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE CONCEPT OF FAIR HOUSING
WHEREAS, the Town of Pulaski wishes to ensure equal opportunity to
all persons residing in the Town of Pulaski to live in decent
housing facilities; and
WHEREAS, discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion,
national origin, sex, age, familial status or handicap in connection
with the sale, purchase, leasing, or financing of housing facilities
will be prohibited by the Town of Pulaski; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Pulaski does hereby designate the Assistant
Town Manager as the Fair Housing Administrator to investigate all
complaints of fair housing discrimination; and
• WHEREAS, the Assistant Town Manager in his or her official capacity
as Fair Housing Administrator will work with the Town of Pulaski to
develop grievance procedures which will serve as a guide for the
investigation and filing of discrimination complaints to the proper
authorities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of
Pulaski, Virginia endorses the concept of fair housing within the
Town of Pulaski and that the Assistant Town Manager as the
designated Fair Housing Administrator is hereby authorized to further
the Town of Pulaski's efforts in this regard.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is adopted by recorded
vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, sitting
in regular session on this 17th day of August, 1993 as follows:
