RESOLUTION NO. 93-13
AMENDING THE WATER FUND BUDGET AND ESTABLISHING WATER FUND
APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE TOWN OF PULASKI, VIRGINIA,
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1993 AND ENDING
JUNE 30, 1994
WHEREAS, on June 29, 1993 Town Council of the Town of Pulaski
adopted its budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1993 and
ending June 30, 1994; and
WHEREAS, in August 1993, Town Council authorized Ernst & Young to
perform a Comprehensive Water Rate and Cost of Water Service
Study to analyze the Town's water fund and to make
recommendations regarding water rates, rate structure and capital
financing; and
WHEREAS, Ernst & Young's interim report recommends a water rate
increase and capital improvement program; and
WHEREAS, therefore, Town Council finds it necessary to amend the
revenues and expenditures of the Water Fund; and
WHEREAS, a brief synopsis of the budget amendment, together with
a notice of the public hearing to be held on September 28, 1993,
• were published in accordance with Section 15.1-162 of the 1950
Code of Virginia, which was the notice procedure selected by the
Town; and
WHEREAS, at its special meeting of September 28, 1993, Town
Council conducted a public hearing on the proposed budget
amendment; and
WHEREAS, as a result of the public hearing, Town Council
finalized and refined the budget amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of
Pulaski, Virginia, sitting in special session on September 28,
1993, that:
Section 1. The proposed Water Fund budget amendment, as revised,
be and hereby is approved as the Budget for the Town of Pulaski,
Virginia, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1993 and ending
June 30, 1994, in accordance with Section 15.1-160, et sea., of
the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended.
Section 2. In conjunction with the approval of said budget, the
following appropriations be and hereby are approved for the
fiscal year (Attachment A):

This resolution is effective upon its adoption, and is adopted
this 1st day of October, 1993, by recorded vote of the Town
Council as follows:
