RESOLUTION HONORING J.R. SCHR.ADER
WHEREAS, J.R. Schrader was elected to the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski
in 1988 and reelected in 1992;
WHEREAS, due to his responsibilities as a journalist, J.R. has resigned after almost
six years on Town Council; and
WHEREAS, As Chairman of the Personnel Committee, J.R. Schrader played an
important role in the selection of a Public Works Director, Town Manager and many
other significant appointments to the Town's boards and committees; and
WHEREAS, J.R. was admired for his honesty, integrity and his concern for all
citizens in the Town of Pulaski; and
WHEREAS, J.R.'s knowledge of the history of the Town of Pulaski is unparalleled
and was a valuable asset to Town Council.
NOW THEREFORE, Town Council hereby acknowledges that J.R.'s membership on
Town Council and his advise will be greatly missed. The Town Council of the Town
of Pulaski commends J.R. Schrader for his service to the Town's citizens and his
many contributions to the Town which improved the quality of life for all citizens of
the Town.
This resolution is adopted by recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of
Pulaski, Virginia, on this 7th day of June 1994 as follows:
