RESOLUTION N0. 94-25 PROCLAIMING
SEPTEMBER 26-30
AS
INDUSTRY APPRECIATION WEEK
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski recognizes the
significant economic-impact existing industries have on the economy of
our community and that of the New River Valley Region; and
WHEREAS, existing industry expansions have historically created the
majority of new jobs in the New River Valley Region; and
WHEREAS, the importance of local industry in bringing to our
community jobs, wages, salaries, taxes, community support, improved
quality of life, etc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Council recognizes
~he many contributions local industries make to our locality; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Council joins other localities
in Virginia's New River Valley in designating the week of September 26-
30 as Industry Appreciation Week.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is adopted by
recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, on
this 20th day of September, 1994.
