HomeMy WebLinkAbout95-20• RESOLUTION 95-20 COUNT PULASKI DAY WHEREAS, the Town and the County of Pulaski, Virginia, were named in honor of the Polish Count Casimir Pulaski, who fought and died as a hero in the cause for freedom of the American Colonies against England during the Revolutionary War, and WHEREAS, the Town of Pulaski organized an effort to plan and sponsor a Count Pulaski Day Celebration to commemorate by suitable observance the young Polish Count and Revolutionary hero who voluntarily gave so much, even his life, in the cause of freedom for our forebears and for us today; and WHEREAS, on the 7th day of October, 1995, the 18th Annual Count Pulaski Day Celebration will solemnize in all due splendor of pageantry, with spirit and emotion of the day running high; and WHEREAS, the Council further desires to extend to all those persons who give so much of their time and efforts in sponsoring and carrying into execution all the well-laid plans for this important celebration, its most sincere thanks and deepest appreciation. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Pulaski, • Virginia, meeting in regular session on this the 3rd day of October, 1995, that this Resolution be made a part of the permanent records of the deliberations of this Council.
