RESOLUTION - 96-8
HONORING
JOHN W. STONE
•
•
WHEREAS, John W. Stone has been a member of Pulaski Town Council since 1994;
and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Stone has served on the Finance Committee, Public Operations
Committee and Utilities Committee; and,
WHEREAS, During his service, Mr. Stone has dealt capably with numerous complex
issues and projects affecting past, present and future Town residents; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Stone is best known for his suggestion and assistance with the
formation of an economic development board to spur growth in the community; and,
WHEREAS, As a member of Council, Mr. Stone served all citizens of the Town with
fairness, honesty, kindness and respect.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski,
Virginia, sitting in regular session on March 5th, 1996, that the Town Council should and
hereby recognizes the significant and lasting contributions of Mr. Stone to the citizens of
the Town of Pulaski and commends him for his dedication and years of service.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is adopted by recorded vote of the Town
Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, on this 5th day of March, 1996 as follows:
