RESOLUTION NO. 96-14
Proclaiming May 19-25, 1996
As
Industry Appreciation Week
WHEREAS, the Town of Pulaski recognizes and acknowledges the vital economic
importance of local existing industry of the Town of Pulaski and Pulaski County.
WHEREAS, the Town acknowledges that all new job creation has almost entirely come
from the community's existing industry base and expansion thereof; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council realizes the many contributions to the local economy of the
New River Valley's existing industry including: jobs, wages, salaries, taxes, community support,
improved quality of life, etc. and
NOW, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED, that the Town Council does designate the week
of May 19-25, 1996, as Industry Appreciation Week in the Town of Pulaski, and joins in
• recognition activities with Floyd, Giles, Montgomery, Pulaski Courrties and the City of Radford.
This Resolution is effective upon adoption and is adopted by the duly recorded vote of the
Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, on this 21st day of May, 1996, as follows:
