RESOLUTION N0.96-15
HONORING
THE PULASKI LADY COUGAR 11/UNDER AAU BASKETBALL TEAM
WHEREAS, the PULASKI LADY COUGAR 11/iJNDER AAU BASKETBALL
TEAM has won the state championship in Charlottesville, Virginia; and
WHEREAS, the title is the first state crown for the local association and came following
the squad's second place finish in the West Region Championships in Roanoke, VA; and
WHEREAS, the team is now qualified for the national AAU tournament slated in Ogden,
Utah in June; and,
WHEREAS, the members of the PULASKI LADY COUGAR 11/UNDER AAU
BASKETBALL TEAM, including Coach Mike Holcomb, Don Bowman, and Joyce
Blevins, have brought great creditto themselves and the Pulaski area.
NOW THEREFORE,-~be it resolved-by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski,
. Virginia., sitting in regular session on May 21, 1996 that Town Council should and hereby
does commend the PULASKI LADY COUGAR 11/iJNDER AAU BASKETBALL
TEAM, for its outstanding accomplishments.
This resolution is effective upon adoption and is adopted by duly recorded vote of the
Town Council, on this, the 21st day of May, 1996 as follows:
