RESOLUTION N0.96-20
PROCLAIMING JUNE 25, 1996 -AUGUST 8, 1996
AS PRIDE SEASON
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia recognizes the great importance
of pride to a community's prosperity; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski., Virginia joins with the sponsorship of the
Southwest Times to encourage and promote PRIDE before the citizens of Pulaski and Pulaski
County; and
WHEREAS, we, the Town Council hereby recognize June 25, 1996 through August 8, 1996 as
PRIDE Season; and
WHEREAS, PRIDE Season will promote and encourage all citizens to take PRIDE in their
community's educational institutions, businesses, industries, churches, government, and in their
personal ability to continue to carry on in a positive, productive manner in civic life; and
WHEREAS, PRIDE Season will be viewed as a positive approach to the betterment of the entire
community; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia
that:
1. PRIDE Season will be June 25, 1996 through August 8, 1996.
2. PRIDE Season will be a progressive, shop locally, productive season.
This Resolution is effective upon adoption and is adopted by recorded vote of the Town Council of
the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, on this 18th day of June, 1996.
