HomeMy WebLinkAbout96-36• • • • • • RESOLUTION NO.96-36 Resolution Asking the Assistance of Commonwealth of Virginia Senator Malfourd "Bo" Trumbo and Delegate Thomas G. Baker, Jr. in Seeking Support and Funding for the Pulaski Arts Center that includes the Pulaski Theater. WHEREAS, the Town of Pulaski continues to revitalize its historic downtown in cooperation with the National and Virginia Main Street programs; and WHEREAS, the community has successfully restored the Historic Pulaski County Courthouse in 1992 and the Pulaski Railway Station in 1994 ;and WHEREAS, the community does not have a theater, civic center or meeting facility; and WHEREAS, a dedicated and energetic group of local business persons and citizens have volunteered their time and support for this project. NOW THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, sitting in regular session on December 17,1996, that council asks the assistance of Commonwealth of Virginia Senator Malfourd "Bo" Trumbo and Delegate Thomas G. Baker, Jr. in seeking support and funding for the Pulaski Arts Center that includes the Pulaski Theater. This resolution is effective upon adoption and is adopted by recorded vote of the Town Council of the Town of Pulaski, Virginia, sitting in regular session, on this 17th day of December, 1996 as follows: John A.
